Cheer!
Tonight was the last night of cheer camp for our girl! This year she once again attended the HCS cheer camp - a whole week of evenings devoted to cheering. This year she learned how to back some amazing stunts. We all went to see the show tonight where the girls showed off the skills, chants, cheers, and dances they worked on all week. She had a blast and learned a lot. Good job, sweetie!

Swim Meet!
Today was our boy's first swim meet of the season. Landisville vs Overlook. It was a beautiful night - not too hot or cold, and he had a great time swimming. He swam in four events - free, back, butterfly, and a relay. This was his first time swimming butterfly in a meet - and he did it cleanly without a DQ! Good job, buddy!

Happy Father's Day!
Today we spent the day in West Chester as our daughter participated in the Rec Select tournament. Her team played 4 50 minute 11v11 games against some amazing teams. They won two games and lost two games and finished in third place! Pretty amazing for a group of girls who never played 11v11 before and only had 3 practices together. After the tournament we stopped at Victory Brewing Company in Downingtown to treat DAD to a father's day dinner and brew. A great end to a fun weekend!

Soccer
Soccer is a sport of choice in our house. Both kids play, and dad has coached them as well. Right now the UEFA 2012 tournament is going on. Our son has been actively following his favorite teams on these hot summer afternoons. While watching, both children have been working on ball mastery in the living room!

Climbing on up
Today we had a great time at CNH Family day. The company always puts on a fantastic event full of food, fun, and games. Carnival rides and games, five different bouncy inflatables, big equipment, pedal go carts, and the rock wall were of high interest for the kids. There was more food choices than any one person could ever eat, great music, a plant tour, and tons of other activities on the grounds. Good times!

Jumping into summer
My summer vacation began today, as Thursday was the last day of school for my district. We started our summer vacation together the way we do every year...2 hours of swim practice in the morning followed by lunch and a few hours at the pool to play around.
The kids had fun rubbing it in that their vacation had started two days earlier, as their school got out on Tuesday. :-)
