Homework

Homework. Yep, when you go to school you usually wind up with some. My husband and I are very fortunate because our kids don't mind doing homework. Our first grade son brings homework home the first day of the week (whatever that may be during the winter) and it isn't due until Friday. He usually attacks it all the first night. Our fourth grade daughter has homework every day and keeps track of all her assignments in a planner. She is required to read for 15 minutes each night and keep a log and a summary of what she has read. She always reads for a longer period of time. It is fun to look back at what she has already read. We've spent a lot of time reviewing math skills, spelling words, vocabulary words, and states and capitals. It is fun to see how much they have learned. Sometimes they even teach me something new, too.
